Wheelchair Tennis

Wheelchair Tennis is the latest addition to the athletic programs offered by the MDWSSC. In 2008, players competed in various tournaments throughout the U.S., including the ROHO Gateway Classic in St. Louis, MO and the 24th Annual TWAA Music City Classic  in Nashville, TN.

Wheelchair tennis is one of the fastest growing wheelchair sports in the U.S..  Wheelchair tennis players participate in United States Tennis Association-sponsored tournaments from the local to the international level and integrate into local able-bodied programming — the only rule difference being the wheelchair player receives two bounces. For program information please contact Earl Jordan at 312-636-8995 or ejordan@mdwssc.org.
